Bingo Queens Screening at The Coast is Queer

As part of our BFI Film Academy Masterclass on Friday 13th October at, we’ll be screening new film ‘Bingo Queens’ starring Travis Alabanza and Scott Chambers, + Q&A with writer/director Nicholas Finegan.

This Masterclass is a MUST for all emerging film-makers! It’s a rare opportunity to find out how you can take your creativity to a new level.

How do I get my film funded? How can I make a film on a low/ no budget? Where do I start with my script? How can I get my film shown at a festival?

Also in this Q&A session, BFI Network x Film Hub South East Talent Executive Thomas Wightman and filmmakers funded by the BFI Network will give practical advice on how emerging filmmakers can bring your project to the screen. Whether it’s writing the perfect funding application, smartening up your script or tips on running a low-budget set, this panel and Q&A will answer all your questions about the financial and practical sides of filmmaking.

Alongside this event, there’ll be a brilliant short film showcase screening throughout the festival featuring groundbreaking new queer films made with support from BFI Network.

Tickets for this event start at just £3 and the film screenings are free to all ticket holders.
