In Letter to My Little Trans Self, members of the trans and non-binary communities were invited to write letters to their former selves. Invited by the trans independent publishers that brought you Letter To My Little Queer Self and The Butch Monologues, these letters are witty, moving, humble, scary and joyful, written as diary entries, letters and poems. Contributors to the book Juno Roche, Travis Alabanza, Luc Grey and Ebony Rose Dark will join editors Libro Levi Bridgeman and Serge Nicholson on stage to read from and discuss the project.

Juno Roche is a writer and campaigner whose work around class, gender, sexuality and trans lives has been funded by the likes of The Paul Hamlyn Foundation and described as ‘provocative and innovative’. Juno studied Fine Art and Philosophy at Brighton, and English Literature at Sussex, and has written for a wide range of publications including Bitch magazine, Dazed, Vice, Broadly, Cosmopolitan, the i, the Independent, i-D, the Tate magazine, Refinery29 and The Victoria and Albert Museum.They are the author of four books: Queer Sex, Trans Power, Gender Explorers, and their memoir, A Working-Class Family Ages Badly.

Travis Alabanza is an award winning writer, performer and theatre maker. Their writing has appeared in the BBC, Guardian, Vice, Gal-Dem and previously had a fortnightly column in the metro. After being the youngest recipient of the artist in residency program at Tate Galleries, Alabanza debut show Burgerz toured internationally to sold out shows in Southbank Centre, Sao Paulo Brazil, HAU Berlin & won the Edinburgh Fringe Total Theatre award in 2019. Their writing has appeared in numerous anthologies including Black and Gay In the UK. In 2020 their recent theatre show Overflow debuted at the Bush Theatre to widespread acclaim and later streamed online in over 22 countries. Other works for theatre and live performance include Royal Court Living Newspaper, Paines Plough, Free Word Centre, Glasgow Transmission Gallery and more.  Their work surrounding gender, trans identity and race has been noted internationally, giving talks at universities including Oxford, Harvard, Bristol and more.

Ebony Rose Dark is your all singing / all dancing, lip syncing, story telling. miming V.I.P/ Visually Impaired Cabaret and Performance Artist. Known for her performances around disability, ableism, racism, and relationships within the LGBTQ+ community. Excitingly, Ebony has just premiered their fut length first solo work, complete with Audio description throughout, at The Place in London.

Luc Grey is a queer, mixed-race poet exploring themes of queer relationships with the self and others. He writes poetry that rejects, defies, and redefines genres.

Serge Nicholson (He/They) is an, editor and trans arts practitioner and co-founder of hotpencil press with Libro Levi Bridgeman. Publications include There Is No Word For It, Letter To My Little Queer Self and Letter To My Little Trans Self. He is a Queer History researcher/curator. In his day job he works with a passion as a Gender, Sexuality, and Relationship Diversity affirming therapist, tutor, and clinical supervisor.

Libro Levi Bridgeman (They/Them) has written for BBC Radio 4 and they wrote the sell-out theatre show The Butch Monologues that toured for 10 years. Short stories include For Ezra, (Muswell Press) that was made into a stop motion film Grand Dandy. They co-run hotpencil press with Serge Nicholson. Publications include Letter To My Little Trans Self and Letter To My Little Queer Self. They are currently working on a TV series, Parker Parker.
