Storytelling is one of humanity’s oldest and most beloved traditions, bridging generational gaps and drawing communities together. Queering the art of oral storytelling, Niall Moorjani and Charlie Wood bring us modern tales for modern times. Their stories of resilience, hope, joy and kindness will spark imaginations, bridge divides and connect hearts.

Charlie Wood is a multi-disciplinary artist, writer and performer. They are a familiar (if often masked) face on the London alternative cabaret scene – making theatrical and intricate work with original music, storytelling, comedy and tragedy and surreal outfits. They are the co producer and host of misfit cult cabaret Miss Ellaneous and they write and sing for the competition winning orchestral punk band THWACK!

They are a writer and story teller with their first full length play longlisted for the Tony Craze award (currently in development) and their recent short play ‘Threshold’ was a hit at The Divine. They were also a founding member of Queer’d – a story telling collective focussed on queer myth.

They’ve also starred in theatrical productions including the iconic RVT Panto and Brooklyn Rep’s ‘In the Basement’ and they have variously performed at The Southbank Centre, The V&A, Glastonbury Festival, Torture Garden, The Edinburgh Fringe, Soho Theatre and more

Niall Moorjani is an award winning and critically acclaimed Scottish-Indian, non-binary and neurodiverse writer, storyteller and theatre maker based between Edinburgh and London. They create for both children and adults, but at the core of all their work are themes of hope, joy and kindness.
